About LP45 PUREclean:
Cleaning the playing surface of your records will ensure that you get the best possible sound reproduction. It is a critical step in maintaining your collection. For optimal playback, clean your records with the following instructions before each play!
Even new vinyl records may have residual contaminants from the manufacturing process of "pressing" the vinyl into a record. LP45 PUREclean™ is also effective in removing the ‘mold release compound’ found on brand new records.
Cleaning Instructions:
Inspect and evaluate the vinyl surface:
Wash hands, remove the record from the protective sleeve grasping only along the edge or by edges and center hole.
Using a bright light or sunlight look at the surface; a clean record surface should be reflective like a mirror. If there are obvious scratches, scuffs, fingerprints and/or dust, additional application(s) of LP45 PUREclean™ may be required; use as necessary.
Cleaning the surface:
Remove record from protective sleeve as described above and place it on
the turntable as if you were about to play it. Turn on the turntable so it starts spinning the record, but not playing it. Fold the supplied micro-fiber cloth in quarters, and mist one side of the cloth with 4 sprays of LP45 PUREclean™.
2. With one hand grab the cloth and apply light pressure with the wet side of the cloth to the spinning record for 3 turns. Notice that some of the fluid runs out onto the record surface, which should now appear noticeably wet. 3. Flip the cloth over to the dry side and apply light pressure once again for 3 turns or as required to absorb any moisture.
This record is ready to play! Repeat for side 2.
If the record is very dirty use the supplied "flip-cap" to apply a heavier volume of fluid as required.
